This day was a gorgeus post day overall :) On top of the lovely Israeli package I got 2 (!) lovely tourist brochure packets from my Couchsurfing friends :) Firstly an awesome, colourful magazine from Arizona! Grand Canyon, Navajos, deserts and cactuses! Secondly from Croatia, where sea water seems to be more turqouise than my nail polish :) Just an amazing looking place, the Istra area. My daughter is studying the Istra area map in the first pic. This Croatian package also had lovely stamps, see the last pic!
Few more of today's thingies
One more pick of the heart-touching set. This is just so adorable. It was even anointed with the sacred oil.
Coins from Israel are not to be sent but these are chocolate :)
Another card from Swap-Bot Ad Card Swap, from Sydney :)
And a Vintage Card Swap from Los Angeles

Amazing packet from Israel
This morning an amazing packet arrived. I took part in Mishloach Manot initiative through Couchsurfing and this is what I got in return!
Idea is to send ready-to-eat food for Purim, as they do to neighbours, friends, relatives in Israel but this time someone from abroad sent their goodies and then got a packet from Israel back. And boy, what a package I received! You can see the size of it as you'll compare it to my toddler :)
The package included chocolate-covered wafer, chocolate covered nuts, pack of dried nuts and fruits, chocolate bars, salty snacks, halva and a sachet of falafel spice mix. Besides the foods there was little musical instruments and noise-making-thingies as well as masks we would wear if we were in Israel as everybody dresses up and they go to synagoge and everytime name "Haman" is read out loud, everybody puts up a horrid noise with all those noise-making-thingies...Can you imagine!? :D
On top of all this, this packet had the most beautiful little book of Psalms, which is supposed to bring protection if carried along and also semi-precious stones and a lovely letter explaining all the customs and how to make falafel :)...Oh and a cd of traditional Israelite music! Just awesome!
I'll post the pics of the little treasures in another texts, thanks to Blogger or my brains which do not understand each other :)

More from the archives
This one belongs to Quick Ad Card Swap at Swap-Bot and was sent to me from Singapore, illustrating Icarus. This one had super-cute stamp, but since I've chosen not to show the backside of any cards, you won't be seeing it...unless I get too energetic and take photos of stamps?
Anyway, thanks to LamelyHui
2nd is from...Italy! Some marine-loving Postcrosser sent it,wonderful!
And 3rd one is from Show Your Country Postcard Swap, lovely as I LOVE parrots! Of course you guessed this is from Australia *heart* Thanks to Lorraine
Oh the last one, from the ever-lovely Finland, land of Sauna and midnight sun...What? No,I haven't seen that either lately and can't actually remember what it is and won't actually believe I will ever see those again...Better go and shovel some snow if I find my spacesuit that can handle -70 celsius...

Even though I love every card I get, everybody has to have favourites,I guess :) Sorry pals, but that's the way it goes :) ...The 1st one is truly a masterpiece, a hand-drawn Valentine's card from a dear Couchsurfer friend.
2nd one just doesn't need any clarifications. Bring out your red books! Credits to CS friend :) 3rd is of Jerusalem's western wall, with the holes where you put your wishes and prayers written on a paper. This just touches my heart with it's simplicity. Special thanks to CS friends! 4th...Oooo,Paris...Eiffel-tower.... And what a photograph! I was hoping for "just" a pic of Eiffel and this is what I got from a dear friend at CS.
